Jim Nelson joined the 19 News team in January of 2020.
He anchors weekend evening newscasts and reports during the week.
This is Jim’s second stint in Ohio after working at a TV station in Toledo from 2015 until 2017. Before that, he spent time as both a news and sports anchor/reporter covering stories in Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota.
Jim moved back to Ohio after spending two years in New York City as a writer and producer at a cable news network.
He was an All-Conference football player at Southwest Minnesota State University, where he graduated with a degree in Speech Communication.
In his spare time, Jim enjoys cooking, dining out, watching sports, photography and keeping up with family and friends back home in Minnesota.
