Rain moves in tonight, a mix possible early
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Our next storm system moves in tonight, with rain overspreading the entire area shortly after midnight. Since temperatures will be in the mid 30s at the onset, it’s possible we see a brief rain/snow mix, but little to no accumulation is expected, and any mix (or even rain!) chance diminishes greatly after sunrise.
After about 9 am through about 4 pm, we should remain mostly dry with cloudy skies and breezy conditions, with occasional wind gusts approaching, or even exceeding, 30 mph. After 4 pm, wave #2 will move north and east through the area, bringing moderate to heavy rain at times through about 4 am Thursday as the system passes to our northeast. This will be a milder wave, so a mix is not expected.
Conditions will improve by Thursday morning with a good chance of clearing by the afternoon!
