Overnight fire leaves behind some damage at the Old Fort

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - An early morning fire at the Old Fort Wednesday leaves damage to part of the property.

Calls came in to report a fire at the Old Fort around 1 am on the northeast side of the Fort. A spokesperson from the Old Fort tells 21Alive that he believes the fire started outside of one of the buildings housing a brick oven and caused damage to the nearby building and fence.

An official cause of the fire has not yet been released from the Fort Wayne Fire Department.
