FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - At day two of 2022 Big Ten Media Days, it was evident that the Purdue Boilermakers had their mind fixed on continued success for their ‘22-23 campaign.

Last season was a success to say the least, as the program captured nine wins for the first time since 2003. The nine win season tied for the second-most wins in program history.

In addition, Purdue concluded its season in thrilling overtime fashion winning, 48-45, against Tennessee in the Music City Bowl.

At day two of Big Ten Media Day, confidence and great optimism radiated from a program who returns nine starters on defense and senior second-team All-Big 10 quarterback, Aidan O’Connell.

O’Connell was among 35 quarterbacks named to the 2022 Davey O’Brien Award watch list, presented annually to the nation’s best college quarterback.

The Boilermakers are 36 days away from kicking off their season at home against Penn State on September 1.
