Fort Wayne FC battles in, 2-2, draw against South Bend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - On Saturday, Fort Wayne FC battled hard in a, 2-2, draw against rival South Bend.

Fort Wayne found the back of the net first, courtesy of Riley Lynch in the 29th minute. Nearly six minutes later, the Lions roared back with a goal of their own, tying the game heading into the half.

During the final 45 minutes of the match, both clubs battled exchanging goals, which led to the much anticipated rivalry clash concluding in a draw.

The result led to Fort Wayne capturing a point, as they sit with 20 points in third in the USL League 2 standings.

Fort Wayne is still square in postseason contention with three regular season contest remaining. The top two teams in the Valley Division will clinch a playoff berth.
