Fort Wayne police make arrest in 2021 homicide

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Fort Wayne police made an arrest in a deadly shooting from last year. 21-year-old Ahmed Pearson is behind bars, accused of shooting and killing 40-year-old Travis Jones several times in August of 2021.

Back then, police say they were called to the 4200 block of South Monroe Street in Fort Wayne Monday where a man was inside a car that had just crashed into a parked car. Authorities transported Pearson to the Allen County Jail Monday evening after they say they arrested Pearson near the intersection of Hobson and East State Boulevard around 5:30.
