DAYTON, Ohio (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Ripken Reyes awakened the Fort Wayne TinCaps bats with a solo shot in the eighth inning of their season opener at Dayton, but the TinCaps failed to complete a comeback rally in the ninth, ultimately, falling 6-5, to the Dayton Dragons.

The TinCaps loaded the bases in the ninth and scored multiple runs off errant pitches but struck out to end the game.

They face the Dragons, once again, on Saturday at 1:05 p.m.

The TinCaps home opener is set for Tuesday, April 12 at 6:35 p.m.
