Follow INDOT crews in real-time virtually

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Throughout this winter storm you can check on the Indiana Department of Transportation’s plows virtually as they keep the roads safe.

On Wednesday morning, INDOT crews were out prepping the yellow plows while also loading them with salt. Located on the city’s north side, crews tell us there are hundreds of plows out around the clock, among with the dozens of city and county trucks.

New this winter season, officials have come up with a new type of technology that you can interact with. It streams live pictures from the plow trucks of road conditions across Indiana, including here in The Fort.

Once you are on the website, there are multiple options to choose from including weather warnings, plow locations, flooding, etc.
