Erin’s House receives $20,000 grant from Arby’s

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - This week, officials from Erin’s House for Grieving Children in Fort Wayne announced they received a $20,000 grant from local Arby’s restaurants. Here is the news release sent to our newsroom:

ERIN’S HOUSE FOR GRIEVING CHILDREN RECEIVES $20,000 GRANT FROM LOCAL ARBY’S RESTAURANTS

[JANUARY 26, 2022] FORT WAYNE, IN – Staff from regional Arby’s restaurants presented Erin’s House with an incredible $20,000 check on January 4, 2022. Arby’s Foundation is committed to helping kids build, expand, and pursue their dreams. The foundation has contributed more than $110 million to youth-related causes since its inception in 1986.

“To be selected by the Arby’s staff for this generous grant is an absolute honor,” says Debbie Meyer, Executive Director of Erin’s House. “These funds will allow Erin’s House programs to touch even more hearts of kids in our community.”

In 2021, Erin’s House served more than 1,900 individuals through their peer-support programs. Because of the community’s generosity and grants such as this, families never have to worry about paying for services or getting their children the grief support they need when they need it the most.

At Erin’s House, we know that grief can cause children and teens to feel isolated and different from their peers. We provide them with a safe space that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages healing.

For nearly 29 years, Erin’s House for Grieving Children has delivered programs to help support grieving youth in our regional community. To date, the organization has served more than 26,000 individuals throughout northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. All Erin’s House services are offered at no cost to families.
