About Erin’s House for Grieving Children Founded in 1993, Erin’s House for Grieving Children has been supporting grieving children in the community for nearly 29 years. The idea for Erin’s House was created when a 5-year-old Fort Wayne girl named Erin Farragh died unexpectedly in 1989. Erin’s House continues to provide support services for children, teens, and their families who have experienced a death. To date, the organization has served more than 25,000 individuals throughout northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. All Erin’s House programs and services are provided at no cost to the families.
