Fire crews respond to house fire on city’s north side

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - Fire crews responded to a rekindled house fire on the city’s north side shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out in the 6200 block of Post Brook Lane. When crews arrived they found flames coming from the attic and the roof of the home partially collapsed, a statement from the Fort Wayne Fire Department said.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames in about a half hour.

According to the Fort Wayne Fire Department, fire crews responded to the same address Tuesday night shortly after 11 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
