FWPD: Teen driver struck student walking to school

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) - The Fort Wayne Police Department says a 16-year-old is expected to be okay after she was struck by another student while walking to school Monday morning.
FWPD’s Public Information Officer Jeremy Webb said a girl was walking to North Side High School around 9 a.m. when she was struck by another student who was driving to school.
The girl, 16, suffered a broken leg and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation at the time of this report.
